The Kraaiennest is a small nature and recreation area enclosed by the greenhouses of the Westland near the village of De Lier. The area consists of two ponds. The southern pond is designed as an area for meadow birds (also described on Birdingplaces). But if you are in the Kraaiennest, the northern circular walk of 2 km is also worth a visit. Chance of seeing the birds like Tarabuso, Martin pescatore, Volpoca, Mestolone and Fischione.

Nederlands: Het Kraaiennest is een klein natuur- en recreatiegebied ingesloten door de kassen van het Westland vlakbij het dorp De Lier. Het gebied bestaat uit twee plassen. De zuidelijke plas is ingericht als vogelplas voor de weidevogels (ook beschreven op Birdingplaces). Maar als je in het Kraaiennest bent, is ook dit noordelijke rondje van 2 km de moeite waard. Kans op Volpoca, Mestolone, Martin pescatore, Tarabuso en Fischione.

Het Kraaiennest is located between the towns of De Lier and Schipluiden. Easy to reach by car or bike. Parking is possible in two places. Press a P on the map for directions to a parking spot. The area is easy to explore on foot or partly by bike.

Nederlands: Het Kraaiennest ligt tussen de plaatsen De Lier en Schipluiden. Makkelijk te bereiken met auto of fiets. Parkeren is mogelijk op twee plaatsen. Druk op een P in de kaart voor een routebeschrijving naar een parkeerplek. Het gebied is gemakkelijk te verkennen te voet of deels per fiets.
