Valsavarenche Is the narrowest and wild of the Valle d'Aosta valleys, it's climbing paths and great crossing around the Gran Paradiso Massif are very well known. The valley has many different environments. Easy sighting of rare species such as Gypaète barbu. Other species you can encounter are Lagopède alpin, Tétras lyre, Perdrix bartavelle, Gélinotte des bois, Aigle royal, Épervier d'Europe, Faucon crécerelle, Chouette hulotte, Tichodrome échelette, Cincle plongeur, Hirondelle de rochers, Bruant fou, Merle à plastron, Cassenoix moucheté and many more.

You can park at the end of the valley. Click on the P in the map to get directions. I recommend the climb to the Vittorio Emanuele refuge and the crossing to the Chabod refuge. This circular walk is 17 km long and is indicated on the map.
