Parco dell'Adige Nord is an area northwest of the city of Verona in a bend of the river Adige. The area has varied habitats that attract birds. Breeding birds include Golden Oriole , Common Nightingale , Cirl Bunting and occasionally Red-backed Shrike. In April migrants such as Wood Warbler , Pied Flycatcher and Common Redstart , European Honey-buzzard , Common Crane and Garganey pass through, but almost anything can turn up at any time.

There are many access points, and parking is not a problem. Alternatively bus 21 from Verona city centre stops at Parona, from where you can take the riverside back towards the city.
