Description

Island Wood is a deciduous and coniferous woodland along a fast flowing river. The area has an abundance of species of Finches, Tits, Crows and Raptors. You can also observe Common Kingfisher and White-throated Dipper.

Access

Island Wood is located south of the town of Newmarket. There is a car park available at the entrance to the wood. Press P on the map for directions. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 3 km.
