Description
The Ümminger See is an artificial lake in Bochum. The lake has a length of 665 metres and gets its water from the stream of Harpener Bach. The area has two ponds and a circular walking path. At Ümminger See you can observe breeding volavka popelavá, and also birds like kormorán velký, kulík říční, pisík obecný, ledňáček říční and various ducks and geese. In winter sometimes a bukač velký can be seen around the small pond.

Access
The Ümminger See lies north of the village of Ümmingen in the Bochum districts of Laer, Werne and Langendreer. There are two entrances and a nice circular path. Click on the P in the map for directions. The path around Ümminger See has a length of about 1.5 km.
