Especially in the autumn in Oerlinghausen Wistinghauser Senne you can see Parrot Crossbill and Common Crossbill. In the May-June you can go there at 10pm and have a chance to see and hear Eurasian Nightjar. In spring and summer there are many Pied Flycatcher, Common Redstart and Wood Lark.

The area is located south of the village of Oerlinghausen and starts directly east of the Oerlinghausen Airfield. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The best option is to walk through the area. On the map you see a circular walk of 6 km.
