Since 1989 there has been a 42-hectare nature reserve in Kernmünsterland near Dülmen. The NRW Stiftung acquired the area in 2007.
Nature reserve Welter Bach has damp pastures and wet meadows that are an ideal breeding and resting area for many meadow birds such as Kızkuşu, Su çulluğu, Kervançulluğu and Akyanaklý kaz. The Yalıçapkını patrols the stream at the Welter Bach. Many waders can be found here during autumn and spring migration.
Nature reserve Welter Bach is located north of Dülmen and easily accessible by bike and by car. From a viewing platform you can overlook the area, but you can also view the area from the road around the area. Click on the P in the map for directions.
