Description
Open ponds with reed fringes, mudflats and some islands for breeding birds. Apart from a variety of waders and waterfowl the area is quite good for raptors, e.g. Сапсан and Орлан-білохвіст.
Typical breeding birds: Коловодник звичайний, Чоботар синьоногий, Крячок річковий, Синьошийка, Очеретянка лучна, Пастушок.
Migration: Any kind of wader, terns, ducks
Winter: Крех малий and many other duck species, many geese (particularly Казарка білощока and Гуска білолоба), divers, Сивка звичайна.
Despite being created only recently the area already held a few national rarities: Журавель степовий (2014), breeding Ходулoчник (2014), Побережник довгоногий (2019).

The site can be accessed easily via Ölstraße from Diekmannshausen (2 km), either by car or by bicycle. No public transport available.
