The bird watching hide at the south basin of Hauke Haien Koog offers a wonderful view of the water and the directly adjacent wet meadows.
The Hauke-Haie-Koog is an important resting and moulting area for many bird species in the Wadden Sea. Every year in spring and autumn when migrating, thousands of geese come to the Hauke-Haien-Koog to rest and moult.
