Description

Piste Belizonis a forest trail that has the advantage of being able to observe canopy birds, which are usually difficult to observe. All along the route you will be able to observe rare or uncommon species such as Greater Yellow-headed Vulture, King Vulture, Harpy Eagle, Red-throated Caracara, Double-toothed Kite, White Hawk, Ornate Hawk-Eagle, Red-and-green Macaw, Bat Falcon, Black-faced Hawk, White-throated Toucan, Channel-billed Toucan, Crested Owl, White-winged Potoo, Amazonian Pygmy-Owl, Blackish Nightjar, Chestnut-bellied Seedeater, Tawny-bellied Screech-Owl, Rufous Potoo, Marail Guan, Golden-headed Manakin, Blue-headed Parrot, Caica Parrot, White-necked Thrush, Coraya Wren, Waved Woodpecker, Yellow-green Grosbeak, Purple Honeycreeper, Violaceous Euphonia, Green Oropendola, Golden-sided Euphonia, Blue Dacnis, Crimson Topaz, Long-tailed Hermit, Straight-billed Hermit, Rufous-breasted Hermit, Black-eared Fairy, Gray-breasted Sabrewing, Scarlet Macaw, Golden-winged Parakeet, Guianan Puffbird, Green-backed Trogon, Guianan Trogon, Collared Trogon, Paradise Jacamar, Spotted Puffbird, Collared Puffbird, Guianan Toucanet, Yellow-throated Woodpecker, Lineated Woodpecker, Fasciated Antshrike, Cinereous Antshrike, Dusky-throated Antshrike, Paradise Tanager, Bananaquit, Red-necked Woodpecker, Variegated Antpitta, Thrush-like Antpitta, Pink-throated Becard, Black-capped Becard, Pavonine Cuckoo, Royal Flycatcher, Band-tailed Antshrike, Cinereous Mourner, McConnell's Spinetail, Black Curassow, Black-tailed Trogon, Amazonian Motmot, Guianan Red-Cotinga, Capuchinbird, Great Tinamou and Grey-winged Trumpeter.

Français: A une vingtaine de kilomètres après le carrefour de Cacao. La piste permet, à l’aide d’une longue-vue, l'observation des oiseaux de canopée. Cette piste forestière à l'avantage de pouvoir observer les oiseaux de canopé, qui sont habituellement difficiles d'observation. Tout au long de la route vous pourrez observer des espèces rares ou peu communes.

Access

This forest track is located on the RN 2, about twenty kilometers after the Cacao crossroads starting from Cayenne. It is possible to park along the track when it is wide enough.

Français: Cette piste forestière est située sur la RN 2, à une vingtaine de kilomètres après le carrefour de Cacao en partant de Cayenne. Il est possible de se garer le long de la piste lorsque celle-ci est assez large.
