Garden marsh with 135 hectares of cultivated gardens located at the foot of the medieval quarter of the city of Bourges.
Marais de Bourges is close to the historic center of Bourges. Initially intended to provide protection to the city, these old swamps crossed by the river Yèvre have been converted into allotments, one of the last market garden marshes in France. Today classified and protected, the Bourges marshes extend over 135 hectares and are cultivated by their owners. You can discover the marshes on foot, by bike or by boat. You will observe mostly common birds, with sometimes less common birds such as rehek zahradní, králíček ohnivý, pěnice slavíková and kukačka obecná.
