This fort at the entrance to the Quiberon peninsula overlooks the ocean and the sandbanks.
At Fort Penthièvre you can easily see rare birds like Long-tailed Duck or Red Phalarope, and sometimes even with a lot of luck Black-browed Albatross. We also regularly see Black-necked Grebe and Red-throated Diver.

Français: Le fort surplombe l'ocean et les bancs de sables. On peut y voir aisémment des oiseaux rares comme des Long-tailed Duck ou des Red Phalarope, et parfois même avec beaucoup de chance un Black-browed Albatross. On voit aussi régulièrement des Black-necked Grebe et des Red-throated Diver.
The fort of Penthièvre is located at the entrance to the Quiberon peninsula. Park near the fort. Clixk on the P in the map for directions.
