A mixed forest and mature oak forest just south of Pinail nature reserve which together can be combined for a good birding day.
Forêt de Moulière has bird species typically associated with the forest habitats. Among the birds you can encounter are Crested Tit , Firecrest , Middle Spotted Woodpecker , Black Woodpecker , Spotted Flycatcher , Eurasian Goshawk , Wood Warbler, Western Bonelli's Warbler and Common Redstart.
The Forêt de Moulière is located 10 km northeast of the city of Poitiers. The area is accessible by car and several paths and roads cross the forest. For a nice birding day it is a good idea to combine the forest with a visit of the Pinail nature reserve that is located just to the north and also described on Birdingplaces.eu.
