Natural area on the banks of a river with a remarkable biodiversity.
Espace Naturel Sensible La Vauvre is located near the river Cher and mainly made up of an alluvial forest and a former gravel pit. The site has a remarkable diversity of birds with more than 160 species listed. Among the birds you can observe are Black Kite, Osprey, Common Kingfisher and Little Egret. Bird hides are present on site.

Situé près du Cher, la Vauvre est principalement constituée d’une forêt alluviale et d’un plan d’eau issu de l’ancienne exploitation d’une gravière. Le site présente une diversité remarquable d'oiseaux avec plus de 160 espèces répertoriées. Il est ainsi fréquent d'observer Black Kite, Osprey, Common Kingfisher ou Little Egret. Des observatoires sont présents sur site afin de regarder les oiseaux dans les meilleurs conditions.
Espace Naturel Sensible La Vauvre is located in the town of Nassigny. Parking is available on site and visiting the site is free. Click on the P in the map for directions. The site has 3.5 kilometers of trails and allow you to completely walk around the site.
