Drejet, "E Drej" or "Kegnæs Drej" is a natural dam or narrow isthmus, which connects southern Als with the peninsula Kegnæs.
Kegnæs Fyr og Drejet is especially good for birding in winter. But also during the migration period several birds are seen. From mid-March, it's a good spot for spring migration of Common Buzzard and Red Kite.
It is possible to park in the car park at the end of the dam or at the campsite on all sides immediately before the dam. There is a also a parking lot at Sønderkobbel Strand Camping. Unless you are very sure footed it might be safest to split the trip in two halves. One at Drejet and one from Sønderkobbel. The trip around the breakwater at Kegnæs Fyr can be both strenous and slightly dangerous.
