Beschreibung
Agernæs is a peninsula and the northernmost point of North Funen. Flyvesandet is Funen's northernmost coast. Here is Storskoven forest on the coast with beautiful old straight beech trees. If you walk quietly down the trails, you may be lucky enough to see Seeadler , which breeds here, remember to keep a good distance from its nest.
Best area for birding is the western side of Flyvessand. From a bird observation tower, there is a view of the entire Agernæs Flak, Æbelø and Nærå beach. Large parts are exposed at low tide and constitute one of Funen's largest wading areas with many different waders. Access to Agernæs Flak is forbidden during breeding season from 1. april until 15. July.
On the beach meadow you can among other birds see Grünspecht . Many seabirds are seen in the sea during the winter months. It is a good place for observing Trauerente Samtente
Close to the parking lot, there is often observed Fichtenkreuzschnabel and Kiefernkreuzschnabel
