Huge forest with many forest birds close to the town of Benátky nad Jizerou.
In the Forest of Benátky nad Jizerou you can find more than 5 different species of woodpeckers. For example Black Woodpecker and Middle Spotted Woodpecker and lots of other little birds like Goldcrest and Eurasian Nuthatch. There are many trails to discover this giant forest.
The forest is located directly to the east of the town of Benátky nad Jizerou. You can go there on foot or with the bike. The total walking route indicated on the map is about 10 km, but it is easy to shorten it.
