Description

The lagoon itself is only accessible for a fee of 100CUP per person and with a local guide. You can get a boatride into the lagoon, that brings you very closely to the American Flamingo, American Avocet , Roseate Spoonbill in the shallow eastern part of the lagoon, without getting eaten by mosquitoes or disturbing the animals.

Access

There is a visitors centre next to the road to Playa Rancho Luna, where the trips begin. Locals around the lagoon also offer boat trips, but be careful not to disturb the animals. The boats are not big enough to place a full spotting scope. But will come close enough, so that you only need good binoculars.
