Description

The Medvednica is a mountain massif in Northern Croatia, with its highest point at 1030 meters. Most of Medvednica belongs to the Medvednica Nature Park. This park is 228.26 km2 and consists of 63% forest. The Medvednica hosts many mountain and forest birds species, such as breeding Red-breasted Flycatcher and Grey-headed Woodpecker.

The Medvednica is located 20 km north of Zagreb. Access from the main road Zagreb-Medvednica Sljemenska cesta. Click on the P in the map for directions. The circular walking route indicated on the map is about 6 km.
