Description

The Iskar Gorge near Lakatnik is a pictoresque place and good for some interesting birds as Alpine Swift, Peregrine Falcon, Long-legged Buzzard and rock-nesting Black Stork. Other birds of interest are White-throated Dipper, which inhabits the stream next to the small road caffee, Crag Martin, Red-rumped Swallow, Black Redstart and other.

Access

Following Road 16 from Sofia to Vratsa you will reach a small road caffee against the village of Lakatnik. This is the place to park and walk around and watch birds. You can move with the car on the roads in the area and explore additional sites as shown on the map.
