Description

At the mouth of the river Fakiyska waders and several heron species (Grey Heron, Squacco Heron, Eurasian Spoonbill, Little Egret and Great Egret) can be seen feeding in the shallow water. Open fields attract Northern Wheatear, pipits and Red-backed Shrike, and woodlands attract various warblers and other passerines. In season, there will be various raptors on migration.

Access

The mouth of the river Fakiyska is located south of the city of Burgas, between the villages of Dimchevo and Prisad. Unofficial parking is possible where a farm track meets the road - take care not to obstruct access. From here the track provides easy foot access to viewpoints over open water and to woodlands. The site has no facilities, so take appropriate clothing and water.
