Description

The Grand Bois (So Bêchefa) is a beautiful forest. The area is located on a plateau, making it pleasant to walk. It consists mainly of spruce forests, but there are also many deciduous trees among them. The picnic area and the valley to the north are more open with meadows and grasslands. This gives a nice variation in biotopes and therefore a good variation in bird species present. There are long straight avenues through the area but also smaller paths. Species you can expect are Black Woodpecker, Common Crossbill, Hawfinch, Eurasian Treecreeper and Common Raven in addition to the more common forest species such as finches, tits, Goldcrest and Firecrest, thrushes, etc.
