Fairly small forest in an agricultural area, part of it is nature reserve.
Mixed forest with some old beech lanes. Woodpeckers like Zwarte Specht and Kleine Bonte Specht breed here as well as Havik and other birds of prey. In spring you may experience a real concert of song birds: warblers, thrushes, tits, Bonte Vliegenvanger and Goudhaan, while in winter, there's different species of finches and if you're lucky you may see an Houtsnip hiding beneath the bushes or gulls, Boomleeuwerik and Roodborsttapuit on the surrounding fields.
Ideally done by foot, especially the smaller paths that are very interesting. The bigger roads are also ideal for cycling. You can park your car next to the crucifix in the Veldkruisstraat.
