Ponds and streams located in the woods.
Étangs de Saint-Denis is a mix of private fishing and free ponds. It is marked out by paths. There is small streams where Common Kingfisher may be observed. There are 3 public ponds where there is a lot of Mallard but also other better wintering birds like Common Pochard and Common Teal, etc. There is a small reed bed as well and some dead trees in the principal pond hosting many Great Cormorant. Among the forest birds that can be seen are Middle Spotted Woodpecker, Crested Tit and Goldcrest.

You have to park at the edge of the wood (several possible locations) and enter on foot. Bicycles are a very good solution but it is better to leave them outside the "entrance" to the ponds because the paths are narrow and often muddy.
