Just outside the city of Lezhë is a nice lagune where you can observe a lot of different birds.
The Lezhë Lagoon is located within the Drin river delta and facing the Adriatic Sea in northern Albania. South of the lagoon is the Kune Vain Tale nature reserve (also described on Birdingplaces, see separate entry). The Lezhë Lagoon is just outside the city and you can reach it easily on foot. The lagoon is accessible at several places. Among the birds you can encounter are Dalmatian Pelican, Squacco Heron, Ferruginous Duck, Garganey, Greater Flamingo, Black-winged Stilt, Pygmy Cormorant, Common Greenshank, European Bee-eater, Crested Lark, Common Kingfisher and Western Marsh Harrier.
The Lezhë Lagoon is located immediately west of the city. Press a P in the map for directions to a parking spot.
