The site has a long list of birds for an inland site and is probably the best place to see Sortterne in Southern England. The site has had a number of rareties over the years (see Extra Info below). You can make a circular walk around Fleet Pond (about 4 km).
The M3 motorway is just to the North of the site, from either direction leave M3 at junction 4a signed Farnborough (W) A327/Fleet (A3013). Continue on this road eventually following signs to Fleet A3013/Cove, continue on A3013 following signs to Fleet/Fleet Pond, continue on A3013 (also called Cove Road) and turn Left at (Brown) sign Fleet Pond. Cross bridge over railway line and turn Right along rough road to car park (Note height restriction). Alternatively use railway station car park (Fee Payable), see P on map.
