Description

Ruddon's Point is said to be the best place in Britain to view overwintering Синьга, Турпан and the rare Турпан білолобий together. Also wintering here may be Пухівка зеленошия, Гоголь зеленоголовий, Крех великий, Пірникоза сірощока, Пірникоза червоношия, all 3 diver species, Побережник морський and Крех середній.

Жайворонок польовий, Щеврик острівний, Кулик-сорока, Коловодник звичайний, Пісочник великий and Коноплянка breed here, plus Шишкар ялиновий, Чиж лісовий and Золотомушка жовточуба in the pines.

As with many east coast sites, rare migrants such as Кропив’янка рябогруда, Вівчарик лісовий and Мухоловка мала may turn up in September.
