Description

Located in the heart of the Somerset Levels and Moors, Greylake is a flat wetland with good paths and reedbed. Thanks to all the water, you can see Чайка чубата, Коловодник звичайний and Баранець звичайний nesting in the spring. Smaller birds such as Очеретянка лучна, Жовта плиска and Вівсянка очеретяна can be heard and seen singing from the trails.

Over winter, vast flocks of ducks and waders, being hunted by birds of prey. Чайка чубата and Сивка звичайна are sometimes joined by Побережник чорногрудий, Брижач and Грицик великий. Large flocks of Свищ євразійський, Чирянка мала and smaller groups of Широконіска північна, Нерозень and Шилохвіст feed in front of the hides. Сапсан and Лунь очеретяний are seen regularly and Підсоколик малий and Лунь польовий occasionally.
