Richmond Park and Glasgow Green are close to the city centre and accessible by a footbridge over the River Clyde. Glasgow Green is the oldest of the city's parks and has some interesting monuments. Both parks are easy to combine for a visit and offer some relaxed urban birdwatching. The area has trees, bushes, grasslands, sports fields, river banks and a big pond.
