North Cliffe is a small woodland rich in habitats, and a range of bird life.
North Cliffe is a mosaic of habitats, woodlands mainly of ash and birch which dominate the site. With both wet and dry areas of woodland being home to an array of woodland species, including Дятел звичайний, Гаїчка болотяна, and Підкоришник звичайний. In the centre of the site there is a small area of lowland heath. In recent years this has been colonised by a population of Жайворонок лісовий whose call adds to the chorus of Кропив’янка садова, Вівчарик-ковалик, and Вівчарик весняний present in spring and summer.
From A1079 Market Weighton head south down Cliffe Road. Then turn right after four miles down Sand Lane. Park on the left by the wood. Parking is however limited.
Be aware of ground nesting birds, ensure you stick to the path, especially on the heathland area.
No Dogs Allowed.
