Middleton-in-Teesdale is a market town in County Durham. The settlement is surrounded by the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Spring offers a great opportunity of seeing a range of birds, including woodland specialists (Мухоловка строката Горихвістка звичайна), moorland specialists and bird of upland rivers such as Тетерук євразійський, Набережник палеарктичний and Пронурок біловолий. Among the other birds you can encounter are Дрізд гірський, Плиска гірська, Чиж лісовий and Жайворонок польовий.
