Small picnic area and Country Park with views of tidal mudflats and Severn Estuary, a top migration route.
Severn Beach on the opposite bank of the Severn is a popular migration watchpoint, so it's likely that what is seen from there is also visible from the Welsh side. Take a telescope in September/October and look out for gulls, terns, auks, divers, shearwaters, sea ducks, waders and passerines.
From Portskewett take Black Rock road, car park at the far end. Click on the P in the map for directions. For walkers, its 5 miles south of Chepstow on the Wales coastal path.
