Description

Rumelifeneri village is a historic and northernmost fishing town that is located on the Bosphorus. The fishing port and cliffs attract several gull species in winter. Maquis shrublands in the western parts of village, the rocky zone around the castle and following small bays are rich with small migratory birds and passerines in the spring and autumn migration. Among the birds you can encounter are Баклан чубатий, Крячок рябодзьобий, Крячок чорний, Крячок білокрилий, Крячок річковий, Клуша, Мартин звичайний, Малий буревісник, Мала біла чапля, Скопа, Осоїд євразійський and many more, see the birdlist below.

Access

1. Go to Hacıosman station with "M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman" metro line. 2. Take bus number "150" from Hacıosman to Rumelifeneri. It is easy to reach via public transport but takes time. From Beşiktaş to Rumelifeneri is around 90 minutes in total. Your own transport could be a better option. Walking is the best way to explore the area itself.
