Lake Erçek is surrounded by mountains and hills. The patchy reedbeds and mudflats attracts many bird species. During the breeding season it is easy to see Савка білоголова and during the autumn Гуска мала flocks are coming to the lake area. On the other side, there are many other species to see such as Огар рудий, Фламінго, Квак звичайний, Гуска сіра, Дрімлюга звичайний, Журавель сірий and Попелюх звичайний.
