On the gravel banks along the Reuss there are Набережник палеарктичний, Пронурок біловолий and Плиска гірська. The following species can be observed in the pastures and meadows: Щеврик гірський, Щеврик лісовий, Кам’янка звичайна, Змієїд блакитноногий, Осоїд євразійський, Трав’янка лучна, Свистач білоголовий, Сорокопуд терновий.

The floodplain area is located between the villages of Hospental and Realp. You can explore the area on foot. A circular walk around the area is about 3 km.
