Description
The big uppside with Stavstensudde may not be the amount of waders but how close you get to the birds. From the shelter one can get a very good view.
During migration from mid april to early june, and late july to early october this is a nice site for watching a good variety of shorebirds. For example Крем’яшник звичайний, Побережник малий, Побережник білий, Побережник ісландський, Брижач, Побережник болотяний, Побережник білохвостий, Грицик малий and Сивка морська. Also several pairs of Крячок малий are breeding.
Rarities that have been seen here are Пісочник морський, Tibetan Sand Plover, Коловодник ставковий, Коловодник жовтоногий and Побережник арктичний.
In winter time islandic Коловодник звичайний and northern Пісочник великий and sometimes Побережник морський can be seen.

Access
If going by bus, take number 1 from Trelleborg train staion to Trelleborg Drivgarnet and walk. Unfortunately its a quite long walk but the last bit you can walk by the sea.
If going by car follow road E6 and turn S towards Fredshög and Stavstensudde.
