Description
The Lillfjärden lake is primarily known for its geese. Казарка білощока, Гуска сіра, and Казарка канадська all breed. The lake also holds the entire swedish non-breeding population of Гуска мала. Other geese like Гуска білолоба, Гуменник, Гуменник короткодзьобий can often be found. Some years Tundra Bean Goose and Казарка чорна are also found during migration periods.
The lakes rocky coast is also often home to waders like Коловодник чорний, Коловодник звичайний, Пісочник малий (breeds), Кулик-сорока (breeds), and Брижач. The lake holds large amounts of Крижень and smaller amounts of other dabbling ducks. Even species which are rare in northern areas like Нерозень, Широконіска північна and Чирянка велика. Smaller amounts of diving ducks can often be found. Wintering Омелюх звичайний and Смеречник тайговий are often found. Although the numbers vary widely.

Access
The lake lies directly north to the center of Hudiksvall. There are many places to park the car. Click on the P in the map to get directions. You can make a circular walk around the lake (2,5 km).
