Lillängsgölen is easily accessible by a bird observation tower. The lake is best from May to June when the breeding birds arrive. In the reed Очеретянка лучна, Пастушок and Вівсянка очеретяна breed. On the coastal wetlands Журавель сірий, Слуква лісова Баранець звичайний and Чайка чубата breed. Гагара червоношия, Пірникоза червоношия, Крижень, Чирянка мала, Лебідь-кликун and Гоголь зеленоголовий breed on the lake. Some years Коловодник лісовий, Попелюх звичайний, Казарка канадська, Лунь очеретяний, andПідсоколик великий breed.
In the forest around many pine favouring birds breed, some more common are Тетерук євразійський, Синиця чубата, Сорокопуд терновий, Глушець білодзьобий, Тинівка лісова, Крутиголовка звичайна, Дятел малий, Дятел звичайний, Жовна чорна, Вівчарик-ковалик, Скопа, Яструб малий, and Канюк звичайний.

Lillängsgölen is located 18 km northeast of Eksjö. There is a small parking lot next to the road. Press P on the map for directions to the parking lot. The trail to the birding tower (500 m) is not clearly marked.
