Description
Hallands Väderö is an island that since 1958 has been a nature reserve due to its valuable old beech-forest, unusual fungi and large bird populations. Many of the varied rocky and sandy beaches are excellent bathing spots. Some coastal sections and skerries are reserved for seals and nesting seabirds. Gulls and other seabirds are common and many Пухівка зеленошия breed on the island. It is also the only place on the west coast of Sweden, where Чистун арктичний, Гагарка мала and Кайра тонкодзьоба all three breed. But you can also find birds like Кам’янка звичайна, Вівсянка звичайна, Кропив’янка прудка, Коноплянка, Горихвістка звичайна, Трав’янка лучна and Соловейко східний.

Access
During the summer season small ferries transport people to the island from Torekov (see the link below for tickets and time table). There are no permanent residents on the island, but many cabins from older times remain on the island and some can be rented for overnight accommodations. There are several marked hiking trails on the island.
