Plans de Sió is a large steppe-type area, dominated by single-crop cereal farming, located in the Segarra region. It is a dry landscape with some shrubs or scrub. Steppe bird species, such as Лунь лучний, Хохітва and Лежень breed in the area, but can be hard to find. The more common birds include Кеклик червононогий, Сип білоголовий, Змієїд блакитноногий, Орел-карлик малий, Шуліка рудий, Одуд, сорокопуд південний, Жайворонок степовий, Боривітер звичайний and Просянка. Sometimes Могильник іспанський is observed.
