Description
The natural environment of Brihuega has a mix of forests of holm oaks and agriculture. There are small orchards, olive groves and many aromatic plants like, lavender, rosemary, thyme or sage grow on the slopes and in the valleys. Many birds of prey can be seen in the surroundings like Яструб малий, Яструб великий, Орел-карлик малий, Гриф чорний, Сип білоголовий, Орел-карлик яструбиний and Змієїд блакитноногий. Also Сич хатній and Сплюшка євразійська can be observed. Other nice birds that can be spotted are Кеклик червононогий, Одуд, Сорокопуд червоноголовий, Бджолоїдка звичайна, Крутиголовка звичайна, Горобець скельний, Соловейко західний, Кропив'янка червоновола, Берестянка багатоголоса, Кропив'янка співоча and Кропив’янка середземноморська.

Espagnol: El medio natural de Brihuega es puramente alcarreño. Es decir, se fundamenta en la alternancia de páramos y fértiles valles bañados por el río Tajuña. Lo que genera un notable contraste entre los bosques de encinas y quejigares y la agricultura de secano del páramo, las pequeñas huertas, los olivares y las plantas aromáticas, lavanda, espliego, romero, tomillo o salvia, de las cuestas y valles, que han proporcionado el asentamiento de colmenas para la producción de la miel.En los bosques encuentran refugio y alimento pequeños y medianos mamíferos carnívoros como el gato montés, gineta, garduña y tejón. Access
Located just 90 km from Madrid, getting to Brihuega by bus or car is very easy. Click on the P in the map to get directions. The circular walk suggested on the map is about 14 km long. Best to do it in the morning. Not only to see more birds, but als because of the better temparature, especially in summer. Protect yourself against the sun and take enough water with you.
