Description

Paul da Gouxa is a rewilded wetland where restoration started in 2005. After the end of the works, there was widespread colonization by natural pioneer riverine vegetation and it became an area again of great natural beauty where the birds returned. 173 Species of birds have been recorded. The area has now 3 lakes, 2 of them are visitable. Among the birds you can see are Бугайчик, Попелюх звичайний, Дятел малий, Квак звичайний, Пастушок, Лунь очеретяний and Чапля руда. But many more, see the birdlist below.
