Description
A bay heavily overgrown with reeds and marshy shores - therefore observations in this place are only possible from a large distance, using a telescope. The places from where you can observe the bay are located on a hill, providing a great view. At any time of year, there are many water birds in the bay. During migrations and in winter, these are mainly flocks of: Крижень, Нерозень, Свищ євразійський, Чирянка мала, Широконіска північна, Чернь чубата, Лиска звичайна, Пірникоза велика, Пірникоза мала, Мартин малий (up to several thousand individuals), Лебідь-шипун, Лебідь-кликун, Гуска білолоба, Tundra Bean Goose, Крех великий, Крех малий and Гоголь зеленоголовий. During the breeding season Крячок чорний and Крячок білощокий nest in this area. The bay is a regular hunting ground for Орлан-білохвіст and Скопа (spring and summer).

The best place to observe is near the village of Skarchowo - look for elevations. The shores of the bay are inaccessible, there are no roads passable for cars. The suggested parking place is marked on the map. Press P on the map for directions.
