Description

Pychowice i Okolice is a gorgeous area, covering about 20 hectares. With big open meadows, plenty of woodland, reedbeds, a stream, etc. The best time to explore the area is early morning (6-10am in spring/summer) but also worth heading out late afternoon for the potential sight of Квак звичайний flying over on their way to the roosting site. Or you can go there early night for the owls ( Сіра сова and always potential to find other species, especially worth checking for Сова вухата).

Górka Pychowicka and the surroundings is the only spot in Kraków with such a diversity. You can also find the iconic Вивільга звичайна, Кропив’янка рябогруда, Деркач лучний, Соловейко західний, Чечевиця євразійська, Синьошийка (if your lucky!), various warblers, finches, buntings, flycatchers, thrushes, shrikes, swifts, woodpeckers, swallows, corvids and Зозуля звичайна, Боривітер звичайний, Канюк звичайний, Яструб малий, Підсоколик великий, Перепілка звичайна. Plus species on migration, including Лунь очеретяний. Just a stunning place, which you can't miss if you're in the area.
