Description
Lake Kierskie is especially interesting in the autumn and winter. Ducks, geese, grebes and loons etc. stop here regularly in pretty good amount. In winter, up to 3,000 gulls spend the night here - mainly: Мартин звичайний, Мартин сріблястий, Мартин жовтоногий, Мартин сивий and also a single: Мартин середземноморський, Мартин морський, Клуша. Quite rare waterfowl for inland are regularly observed, such as: Чернь морська, Турпан, Синьга, Пірникоза червоношия, Гагара червоношия and Гагара чорношия. The lake is a feeding ground for Орлан-білохвіст. Geese spend the night on the reservoir, mainly: Гуска сіра but also northern geese.
