Description
You can explore the entire Veines peninsula and also the platform over the sea where several bird species can be observed, including Чистун арктичний, Баклан великий, Баклан чубатий, Крячок річковий, Крячок полярний and gulls. Some shore birds as Пісочник великий or Побережник морський can be observed all summer, and Кулик-сорока may nest on the beach during summer there. Inland you can spot Сивка звичайна, Брижач, Сова болотяна, Орлан-білохвіст and Зимняк.
Water birds as Пухівка зеленошия and Крех середній and also a diversity of small birds as Синьошийка, Пуночка снігова, Зеленяк звичайний, Гаїчка-пухляк, Чечітка звичайна and Плиска біла contribute to the very interesting diversity. In fact all parts of the peninsula are good for birding.

Access
By the main road you acces Veines and you park the car at the begining of the walking trail. Click on the P in the map for directions. You can walk all over the peninsula on the left when you start walking. At some point of the walk up in the mountain you will find an observatory. It is also possible from the end of the peninsula (lighthouse) to spot whales during migration.
