Description
It Swin is a small lake surrounded by reed beds and marsh. In the autumn you can often see large groups of Свищ євразійський. Чирянка мала, Широконіска північна, Попелюх звичайний, Чернь чубата, Крех великий and Крех малий also visit the area. There are many sorts of geese around in the meadows, including the Гуменник короткодзьобий and Сивка звичайна. During the breeding season there is a chance on Синьошийка,Лунь очеретяний, Бугай водяний, Погонич звичайний. During migration Косар білий, Чепура велика and Лунь польовий.

It Swin is located between Harich and Elahuizen (2 km from Elahuizen) on the Keamerlanswei. Parking at the gate with information panel and bench. Also at a viewing platform on the road. Outside the breeding season after 15 June, a so-called boot-path can be walked from Elahuizen through the meadows and partly over the quay of It Swin.
