Description

Het Grote Vlak often holds a lot of ducks ( Широконіска північна , Нерозень , Шилохвіст , Галагаз євразійський , Свищ євразійський and in spring Чирянка велика ), gulls and grebes. Sometimes waders, like Грицик великий , are abundant and few songbirds, like Щеврик гірський and Трав'янка чорноголова (sometimes even Синьошийка ), can be found. The area is also good for finding Голуб-синяк , Кам’янка звичайна and in winter Зимняк .

Access

Het Grote Vlak is easily accessible from the village of Den Hoorn towards the beach. You can park on the roadside, but try to give way to cyclists on the parallel cycle path.
