Description
The Groenblauwe Zone is a beautiful nature and recreation area. The area has ditches and meadows, reeds, grasslands and trees. You can cycle there partly, but in the meadows and over the (sometimes narrow) bridges you can only walk. Here and there are benches. You can see many different bird species there. For a few years now Бугай водяний breeds in the area. Other birds you can encounter include Гуска сіра, Гуска білолоба, Казарка білощока, Чайка чубата, Косар білий, Галагаз євразійський, Широконіска північна, Нерозень, Свищ євразійський, Чирянка мала, Чернь чубата, Пірникоза мала, Пірникоза велика, Зозуля звичайна, Кулик-сорока, Крячок річковий, Баклан великий, Очеретянка лучна, Очеретянка ставкова, Кобилочка солов’їна, Ластівка берегова and Очеретянка середземноморська.

Nederlands: De Groenblauwe Zone is een natuur- en recreatiegebied van 45 hectare groot tussen Moordrecht en de Goudse wijk Westergouwe. Het is een prachtig stuk natuur. Er zijn slootjes en weilanden, riet, gras en bomen. Je kunt er deels fietsen, maar in de weilanden en over de (soms smalle) bruggetjes kun je alleen lopen. Her en der staan bankjes. Je kunt er veel verschillende vogeslsoorten zien. Sinds een paar jaar broedt er een Бугай водяний. Andere vogels die je kunt tegenkomen zijn Гуска сіра, Гуска білолоба, Казарка білощока, Чайка чубата, Косар білий, Галагаз євразійський, Широконіска північна, Нерозень, Свищ євразійський, Чирянка мала, Чернь чубата, Пірникоза мала, Пірникоза велика, Зозуля звичайна, Кулик-сорока, Крячок річковий, Баклан великий, Очеретянка лучна, Очеретянка ставкова, Кобилочка солов’їна, Ластівка берегова en Очеретянка середземноморська.

Access
The Groenblauwe Zone is located between the town of Moordrecht and the city of Gouda. The area is not easily accessible by public transport. From the Moordrecht Oostpolderweg bus stop, it is approximately 1 km to the start of the walk. There is no official parking lot. Most visitors come by bike or walk from a bit further away (residential area/companies on the Zuidplaspolderweg). Some park their car on the verge of the Oostringdijk. If you walk briskly, you will have seen the area in an hour. But if you take your time, pause here and there and take in the surroundings, it will take much longer. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 3.5 km.

Nederlands: De Groenblauwe Zone ligt tussen Moordrecht en Gouda. Het gebied is met OV niet gemakkelijk bereikbaar. Vanaf bushalte Moordrecht Oostpolderweg, is het ongeveer 1 km lopen tot het begin van de wandeling. Er is geen officiële parkeerplaats. De meesten bezoekers komen op de fiets of van een stuk verderop gelopen (woonwijk/bedrijven aan de Zuidplaspolderweg). Sommigen parkeren de auto in de berm van de Oostringdijk. Als je stevig doorloopt, heb je het gebied met een uurtje gezien. Maar als je rustig gaat, hier en daar pauzeert en de omgeving in je opneemt, ben je veel langer onderweg. De rondwandeling die is weergegeven op de kaart is ongeveer 3,5 km.
