Description
The Rusen ponds cover a large area of reedbeds, open and closed ponds and Salix bushes and trees. In the main pond (nr 1) a colony of Мартин звичайний also harbouring Крячок чорний , along with them Крячок білощокий, Крячок білокрилий and Крячок каспійський can be seen.
Also living in the ponds Пірникоза мала and Пірникоза чорношия together with a good variety of ducks such as Широконіска північна and Чирянка велика. From the reedbeds Бугай водяний, Кобилочка солов’їна and Очеретянка велика can be heard together with Сутора вусата, або синиця вусата and Ремез звичайний.
You move through the area on top of the banks and there are a good number of roads to explore the site.
